Film Acting Lab
Ages: Adult
When: March 20 – April 24 on Mondays, 7:00-10:00

Tuition: $100 
 
Back by popular demand, Spencer Milligan’s Film Acting Lab is for adults who are interested in acting for camera and stage. Students will explore comedy through original commercial work as well as study and perform scenes from classic movies. By the end of the course, students will have a polished performance reel to take home. Film Acting Lab meets at TAP on Mondays from 7:00 to 10:00, March 20 – April 24.
 
Playwriting Lab I
Ages: Adult
When: March 20 – May 4
Instructors: Paulette Laufer and Richard Carlson 
Tuition: $125
 
Interested in playwriting? TAP has a class for you! Playwriting Lab I focuses on creating compelling characters and a dramatic structure that supports the story and ideas of your play. Hands on exercises geared towards lively discussions are designed to spark out-of-class writing as you discover your playwriting voice while building your own one-act play. The class meets Mondays and Thursdays at the theatre beginning March 20 and ending May 4. Meeting from 5:00 to 7:00, the classes culminates in readings of participants’ plays for an invited audience.Taught by Paulette Laufer and Richard CarlsonPlaywriting Lab I is $125.

Five to seven year old StageKids explore creative play onstage in Theatre Games, focusing on gentle guidance towards purposeful play. Designed to introduce the young actor to theatre performance, the $20 class runs at TAP for six Saturdays, 1:15 to 1:45 from January 7 to February 11 and is taught by Amy Ensign.
 
Elementary Acting Class
Ages: 8 –  10
When: January 7 – February 11 on Saturdays, 2:00 to 2:45

StageKids’ Elementary Acting Class (for ages 8 to 10) takes a look at theatre vocabulary, focus, intention, and best rehearsal practices in order to prepare for theatre performance. Each class begins with a warm-up of theatre games and moves into development of a performance piece to show friends and family on the last day of class. The forty-five minute class meets at TAP for six Saturdays from 2:00 to 2:45, January 7 to February 11 and costs $25. Elementary Acting Class is taught by Amy Ensign.
 
Middle School Acting Class
Ages: 11 – 13
When: January 7 – February 11 on Saturdays, 3:00-4:00

StageKids’ middle school performers aged 11 – 13 will study the development of character, place setting, and intention, all within the context of fun games followed by work on a performance piece to show friends and family on the last day of class. Middle School Acting Class meets at TAP on Saturdays, January 7 through February 11 from 3:00 to 4:00. The cost for the six session acting course is $30. Amy Ensign teaches this class.
