TAP is dedicated to providing theatre education opportunities to members of the community of all ages. We firmly believe that by learning theatre skills, one learns life skills such as creativity, confidence, and cooperation in a fun and exciting way.

TAP offers both classes and workshops. Are you looking for a weekly class to build you skills over a period of time? Check out our class offerings. If you would like to dip your toes in to give it a try, if you are interested in building a specific skill set, or if you are on a budget, workshops might be the way to go. Either way we have something for everyone. Take a look at the offerings below and call 920.743.1760 or email (amy@thirdavenueplayhouse.com) with questions. We would be happy to help guide you through to your choice.

Class Description: A course on film noir open to any Door County residents that miss the feel of seeing a classic movie projected in a movie theater. Each week we will be watching a new film noir in Third Avenue Playhouse’s beautiful main stage theater. Film noir is a wonderful genre that mixes high intensity action and suspense, with heady themes that reflect the state of the world. Each class will begin with a short lecture on the film of the week, as well as its place in film noir history. Then, we will watch the movie, which will be followed by a discussion amongst everyone in the class. Snacks will be provided for everyone in the class. I hope to cultivate an environment similar to a book club, but for films. If you have any interest in films, please join me for what should be a wonderful winter activity in Door County.
