This vintage 1910 musical comedy is stuffed with songs, laughs, and dances. When a man-about-town’s secret life is about to be discovered by his stuffy benefactor, the ensuing amorous misadventures take him from his Manhattan dance studio to a yacht. It’s music and merriment on the high “C’s” in a show which was one of the iconic hits of its era, but which hasn’t been seen in a professional production in over 30 years.

The comical cast of characters includes TAP favorites Drew Brhel (Educating Rita, The Fantasticks), Debra Babich (House of Blue Leaves, The Fantasticks), Kaleigh Rae Gamaché (Maid to Marry), and Ryan Patrick Shaw (I Love a Piano, The Fantasticks) as well as newcomers Adam Estes, Anna ClineAnna Mae Beyer and Kelsey WangTAP’s own James Valcq has put a bit of 21st Century polish on this delightful gem and will also appear in the show. Popular Milwaukee pianist/performer Jack Forbes Wilson provides the musical direction.

Hailed by The New York Times as “delightful, exhilarating, and tuneful,” the songs (which have been recorded by artists as diverse as Judy Garland, Brenda Lee, Doris Day, The Platters, and Barbra Streisand) include “Every Little Movement Has a Meaning All Its Own”, “Put Your Arms Around Me, Honey”, “Ballin’ the Jack”, “I Don’t Care”, and “Oh! You Beautiful Doll”.
